Matabeleland North schools resume athletics districts competitions

PREPARATIONS for the Matabeleland North Primary Schools Athletics competitions set for Lupane on 17 March have reached a crescendo with most districts having held their Inter-clusters competitions to build their district teams.

The Nkosilathi Moyo-led Sports Committee is set to host seven primary schools track and field event teams from Binga, Bubi, Hwange, Tsholotsho, Nkayi ,Umguza and Lupane. The event will be the first in fours years after disruptions caused by the Covid -19 pandemic. The last cmbined athletics competitions were held in 2019 at Mosi oa Tunya High School in Victoria Falls, with Marondera ,Mashonaland East set to host the National aborted Competitions.
