Msiz'kay officially handed BAA stand

CLAD in a white City of Kings T-shirt, and navy blue track paints, spotting the ever-smiling shy persona that has turned him into one of Bulawayo's favourite celebrities, Msiz'kay sauntered into Nketa Housing Office to pen a signature that will forever change his life.

For the young Bulawayo musician, who ditched his initial career path of being an accountant, the signature will show to all and sundry that indeed if one gives their all, a career in music had its rewards. Thursday, February 23, 2023 will remain indented in Msiz'kay's life as this was the day that he penned a signature confirming him as the owner of a housing stand in the City of Kings.

The musician won the fully serviced residential stand at the Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards which were held in December last year. TCI International donated the stand which is situated in Emganwini suburb and was awarded to the winner in the People's Choice category.

In an interview with Sunday Life, Msiz'kay expressed excitement at being given the opportunity to be a homeowner, a dream for every young person.

'I feel excited because this is a great achievement for me and I'm truly happy that the BAAs together with TCI International have brought such a great gift into my life.

Now the plan for me is to come up with a campaign and get partners on board who will be a part of the building process and make it public such that it will have the value to inspire the next generation of artistes.

And to every artiste out there who has been told that the art industry does not pay off, they are supposed to know that there are new opportunities right now which lead to success as the BAAs and TCI International have taken an initiative which changes the narratives about the arts. Thus, it...
